Duties DESCRIPTION: Lead Student Ambassadors provide informal mentorship to Student Ambassadors; assist student employee supervisors with a variety of projects and tasks to support the Student Ambassador program and campus departments; are leaders among their peers; and eagerly assist in fulfilling the duties of Student Ambassador positions as needed. Primary Job Duties: 1. Recruit exceptional candidates to apply for Student Ambassador positions. 2. Assist recruited students in applying and working through the onboarding process. 3. Assist college employees in providing Student Ambassador orientation upon hire. 4. Train Student Ambassadors in technical aspects or role under the direction of college staff. 5. Serve as positive role model to Student Ambassadors. 6. Develop positive and authentic working relationships with Student Ambassador team. 7. Lead projects and events assigned by and under the direction of staff. Projects may include the following: o Coordinate volunteers / workers for campus events, tours, and classroom visits in collaboration with all student affairs departments as needed. o Coordinate promotion of events through promotional material, social media, and personal interactions in collaboration with staff, student groups, and college departments. o Lead assigned calling campaigns. 8. Complete duties of Student Ambassador if needed. 9. Other duties as assigned to support the Student Affairs Division and college. Student Worker Expectations: 1. Consistently follow Student Ambassador Expectations, Attire Guidelines, and college policy. 2. Maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher. 3. Utilize and promote campus support services and resources. 4. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with college staff. 5. Develop and maintain positive relationships with college faculty (instructors). 6. Be a member of the Student Senate. 7. Be a member of at least one additional club. 8. Demonstrate integrity, trustworthiness, and excellent interpersonal skills. 9. Develop and maintain a positive reputation in the campus community. 10. Lead by example and serve as a positive representative of DCTC.
Qualifications This position is only available by recommendation of supervisor and requires 1) previous experience as a DCTC Student Ambassador, 2) demonstration of exceptional work performance in role of DCTC Student Ambassador, and 3) endorsement by manager of the Student Ambassador program.
Work Schedule Monday-Friday, between the hours 7:30am-4pm. Set days/times flexible around student’s availability.
